When it gets wet it gets heavy and drags the mask strap down on to your neck. It doesn't help that the neoprene material doesn't grip your head as well as the silicone strap does. It is a good idea but did not work at all. I found it to be pretty much worthless. Used it for a couple of hours snorkeling in calm waters above reefs in Fiji. It took me a moment to finesse my mask strap so it was seated square without bends in the strap cover. But once on, it didn't pull my hair and kept the snorkel in place. Also, adjusting the mask while the cover is on isn't difficult provided you line everything up evenly and don't cover up the adjustment straps.
