I bought this item because you do not have to remove the outlet hood to clean your dryer vent , you can run a brush right up to the dryer with extension poles.This a great fix to make maintenance easier.

Switched from roof venting to straight through the wall vent. Much less expense to clean out, and this product allows easy access to the tubing for clean out. Will more than pay for itself, and is more efficient than the vertical riser through the roof. The vanes only open during drying, and are quiet and strong.
