Jan Dismas Zelenka(1679-1745) was the most important Bohemian composer before Gluck. He wrote no operas and few instrumental works, but a great body of sacred music for the Catholic court at Dresden plus a few choice secular works. Only recently have his works come to light, but they show that he was an important and uniquely gifted composer, with a superb ear for melody, exceptional contrapuntal skills, and a sparing but effective penchant for surprising harmonious twists and unusual turns of phrase. While his music, on the surface, may appear somewhat like Bach, it actually takes its own path into less traditional and less profound musical territory. After all, there is only one J.S.Bach! Nobbs (Coleman, Michigan United States) - See all my reviews    = Durability:  = Fun:  = Educational:  This review is from: HO Bi-Polar w/PS3, MILW/Black #10251 (Toy) Although my MTH EP-2 Bi-Polar Milwaukee Road #10250 was not purchased on Amazon.com, it is one of the greatest HO scale locomotives in my collection! It comes with directional lights as well as road number lights and even a lit interior! You can run it on DC or DCC and the locomotive also has sounds that can be turned on and off via a switch under the forward section. There is a selection including the horn, the bells, speed of the engine accelerating and decelerating, track announcements (train departing/arriving) and others. In addition the pantographs raise and lower depending on the direction of the engine. A very unique feater is that if the direction is changed on the transformer, the engine slows down to a stop before reversing direction to minimize damage to the internal parts as well as reducing the risk of going off the track. This is a very modern sounding record with amazing Connie Plank production. I am a huge Cluster and Harmonia fan and this is one of the best of that body of work. Dub, musique concrete, and electonics come together in a very spacy blend. The vibe created by this record is incredible. We could not find many reviews out there on this product, so we took a huge risk and made the purchase after much research of various other playsets. We like the wooden swingsets, but really wanted a product that was going to be durable, lasting and splinter-free...even if it cost a little more money. It took my husband about a day and a half (by himself) to build the swingset. He felt the assembly was quite easy. The directions weren't very clear on just a few things, but overall they were simple and easy to follow. So far, we really like this swingset. The polymer coating is great to have instead of the wood that can cause scrapes, splinters and wear and tear. We are truly hopeful that this playset will live up to what it says - truly maintenance free and will last many, many years. Our daughter is 21 months old and LOVES the swings, glider and slide.
