I first want to say that I bought the machine about a month ago. I gave it a 5-star rating but it is probably more like a 4.5. I bought it for two purposes - batting and defensive practice.Batting The machine seems to be most accurate when it is closest to full throttle. It claims 65 mph and I believe it. We use it with hardballs and the Atec SFT balls. It seems to be most accurate (repeatable) with hardballs. The SFT balls are very susceptible to the wind. The good thing about the SFTs is of course they don't hurt if they hit the batter. Fielding The machine can really launch the ball. I have my son shoot me infield popups and my guess is they launch 150 to 200 ft and pretty accurate to within a 30 ft radius 90% of the time - even with a light wind. I've gotta say, I played high school baseball about 20 years ago and those popups were a little intimidating at first but now they are pretty routine for me - it is all about repetition. For...
