Disney Exclusive 16" Belle Collectors Doll Limited Edition of 5000 Worldwide
This is a Limited Edition Belle 16" collector doll from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It was a Disney Store Exclusive and limited to only 5000 dolls worldwide. It was issued in conjunction with the October 5, 2010 release of Beauty & the Beast on DVD and Blu-Ray in the new Disney "Diamond Edition" videos. This is the third in a series of princess dolls scheduled to be released by the Disney Stores as other "princess" movies are released in the Diamond Edition video series. The 5000 dolls were sold through a preorder at the various Disney Store locations and through their online and catalog sales starting on August 16, 2010 with most stores having only 10-15 dolls available for preorder (one store in my area only had 7 dolls available!) and there was a strict limit of only 2 dolls per guest. Most stores sold out within a couple of days while other stores were sold out within a few hours. I checked with the online sales just three days after they went on sale, and they were sold out also and so they were only available if you heard about them and preordered yours very early. With its intricate details inspired by 18th century French fashion, this beautifully designed Belle doll captures the essence of the Beauty that turned a Beast into a handsome prince. The elegance of her golden satin dress is enhanced by the intricate layers of gathering, each punctuated by a shimmering golden rhinestone. The bodice is accented with five perfect golden roses, each capped by a single glittering stone, and gleaming golden jeweled strands which add to the magical look befitting a Disney Princess. A delicate swag of luxurious chiffon held in place by gorgeous golden roses adds the perfect touch to an exquisite gown. Belle holds a single glittering red rose; a fitting testament to the power of true love.
